This weekend our family went down to Bryce Canyon to meet up with my parents for the Bryce Canyon Race. We did some site seeing and hung out together.

Jason and my dad walked the 5k with Elin.

I ran the 1/2 marathon. My time for the 13 miles was 1:27. I took 9th place in my division (26-29 year olds) out of 122 girls. Jason was so cute - he waited for me on the sidelines with Elin towards the end and ran with me the rest of the way. What a good hubby!

I love to run races because (a) it keeps me motivated to run (b) there is so much positive energy at a race. Everyone is excited to do something healthy and challenging and are so supportive of each other and (c) I love working out in a scenic environment - it is incredibly refreshing and peaceful.
My race started at 6am and I was freezing my butt off! Fortunatley, on the side lines of the starting line, there were 5 or 6 fire pitts where everyone huddled together to get warm. Spirits were high as all of us racers chatted and stretched for our race. The race officals were even playing motivating music.

I love this picture of Scout in Elin's playhouse. Who uses it more, I wonder, Elin or Scout? Hmmm.....
HOLY HALF MARATHON!!!!!!!!!! and in such good time!!!!! so impressed with you marci!!!!!!!
